What Will I Become?

Standing tall and straight 

Like drilled military men on parade

I ponder the journey towards my fate

Like memories the path in the distance starts to fade

The rustle of the leaves beckons me to move forward 

I stand still options flashing through my mind

Past experiences remain uncovered

The desire to leave it all behind 

The options build into a crescendo 

As my heart pumps like a fast beating drum

Thoughts turn transparently clear no innuendo 

Now I am sure of what I will become
